NASCAR, here she comes!

On Saturday was the AWANA Grand Prix. About 4 weeks ago we bought Emma's pinewood derby car for $2. John & Emma's plan (I believe Emma's idea) was to paint the car black, put a sticker that said SIN along the bottom, then cover half of the car and the word SIN with white and then splatter red over the white. This is a picture of our sin being covered by Jesus' sinless nature and then covering that would be Jesus blood which covers our sin. I thought the idea was brilliant.

The morning of the races she kept saying, "It would be so much fun if I won" and we kept warning her, "Emma, you need to go with the idea to just have fun and don't expect to win, but be excited if you do". Well little did we know....... 8 races later, being first in all 8 of them, would bring her the 1st place trophy! Her average MPH...... 205.6, I think we might be in trouble! All the winners, 4th place on up to 1st place, all girls!!!!
